Secret Gallery Project
Wacom Secret Gallery is a self-initiated project that connects Wacom with the creative community. When developing new products we invite an artist to create some artwork that is printed on the circuitboard. Rather than announce the project through traditional marketing we just ask the artist to incorporate the hashtag #wacomsecretgallery.
We ask that the theme of the drawing is based on the internal codename of the project.
Wacom Secret Gallery artists to date : Naho Ogawa (Japan), Julie Blanchin (France), Yasmeen Ismail (UK), Magdelena Proszowska (Germany)
The artwork is not visible to the users but is just under their fingertips. Is it still art if nobody can see it? Due to the high volume of units, for some artists this was the largest print run of their work.
Technical information is required to be printed on the circuitboard. So this artwork could be slipped into the same print step without adding another process or extra cost.
