 Our ID mock up included some weight simulation to check the right feeling and even some programmed LED indication to check the complex “paper mode” interactions were understandable.

The previous pen stand had a steel weight completely hidden inside a plastic housing. The concept of the new design was to bring this metal weight to become a beautiful cosmetic bottom surface as well as having a stabilising function. We used a spin finish to give a premium feel. Spare pen nibs are stored inside the pen stand.
