Explanation of the industrial design for Wacom Intuos by Giles Mitchell.
Intuos is an entry level pen tablet for creative enthusiasts and beginners. This model comes in two sizes and three colour ways, including pistachio green.
Multiple prototype iterations were used to test the usability of different button layouts and trial some CMF options.
The minimal smooth form of the main body is made from poly-carbonate resin with colour matched non slip feet.
The packaging was designed to feel modern and precise, yet it was made very inexpensively and ecologically by simply wrapping a cardboard fence with paper. Inspired by Japanese sweets package design.
